This deeply concentrated beauty trounced 399 rivals at the first Annual Wines of Chile Awards to emerge as best in show. It's a fine pedigree, blending Merlot, Carmenere and Cabernet to create a smooth, deeply concentrated wine that's the bee’s knees with Sunday roasts.

Crimson red with hints of purple. The bouquet is fragrant dark fruits with hints of red cherry and spicy oak. Fruit driven palate, blackberry and cherries with hints of oak.

This wine is named Boom Boom as the winemaker promises that it will knock your socks off!

The grape vareity used to make it is Syrah (also known as Shiraz), and it comes from Washington state. It is full of meaty dark fruit and some tobacco flavours.

This wine is very full bodied and should be enjoyed with food, particuarly red meats

Only 8,500 bottles were produced of this fascinating blend!

Intense red ruby colour, with black tones. In the nose we find red and black fruits, blackberrys, plums, cassis, and dry figs. Also black pepper and spicies. The oak is present and well integrated, notes of vanilla, tobacco and smoke.

On the palate it has a very nice beggining, intense, with personality and good acidity. Present sweet tannis. It has a very long finish. Persisitent, good structure and body. Because of its structure, this wine allows storage of 10 more years.

La Chapelle du Marin, Cotes du Rhone - A show-stopping benchmark Cotes du Rhone. Deeply coloured, intense classic 'cold tar' nose, the palate is classically moulded from blackberried fruit with smoky depth.

The vineyards of this fourth generation Domaine are very close to (but not in) Châteauneuf du Pape and share similar soil characteristics - limestone sand and the characteristic round pebbles (galets roulés) which absorb heat during the day and keep the 18 year old Syrah vines at a more even temperature during the night.
