CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Appearance: Deeply brilliant red. Nose: Ripe berries, unidentified floral touch (violets?), brie, sandalwood, cinnamon. Palate: An initial touch of sweetness in the mouth, followed by balanced acidity with gentle tannins and an overall sense of elegance.

Youthful and vibrant, with strawberry and cherry fruit aromas and a twist of vanilla. The very gentle tannic structure supports an abundant spice and cassis fruit core finishing with an excellent weight of flavour.

De Bortoli retain some of the finest Cabernet vineyards in Yarra Valley. To make the consummate Victorian claret, parcels are vinified with a component of Syrah for suppleness and spice, while the addition of Nebbiolo contributes tannin structure and savouriness.

Intense red ruby colour, with black tones. In the nose we find red and black fruits, blackberrys, plums, cassis, and dry figs. Also black pepper and spicies. The oak is present and well integrated, notes of vanilla, tobacco and smoke.

On the palate it has a very nice beggining, intense, with personality and good acidity. Present sweet tannis. It has a very long finish. Persisitent, good structure and body. Because of its structure, this wine allows storage of 10 more years.
