Displaying a beautiful rose petal colour, a fine aromatic intensity on the nose and a full, fat mouth feel, this wine shows notes of very ripe small berries, redcurrant and wild strawberry, exotic fruits, lychee, as well as very ripe pears and melon.

A delicate wine with a lot of freshness and a nice aromatic smoothness.

Aret says;

"This wine is pure strawberries and cream!"

This wine derives its name from the large rounded pebbles (galets roulés) associated with the famous vineyards of the area. The stones cover the clay and chalk soils and naturally keep the vine yields low.

Grenache, syrah, cinsault and mourvedre grapes are carefully selected and undergo a traditional long cuvaison at high temperature and extended maceration on the skins in order to extract plenty of colour, fruit and tannins.

This all results in a great youthful mouthful of Châteauneuf - Provencal garrigue aromas lead to a palate of sweet cherry flavours - Châteauneuf-du-Pape for the modern wine drinker, delicious with lamb or with Lancashire hot-pot.
